Sustainability Statement

In order to create mindful adornments and responsibly made fine jewellery, I prioritise the following considerations:

Ethical & sustainable sourcing of materials - I strongly encourage the reuse of precious metals and gemstones from heirloom or antique jewellery. In cases where new materials are required, I only work with suppliers who guarantee that their precious metal sources are 100% reclaimed and recycled. Additionally, I exclusively use natural gemstones that are traceable, and I often work with individuals or small family-owned businesses that expertly cut the rough themselves. For those interested in lab-made alternatives, I'm able to source diamonds that are 100% climate neutral and sustainably rated, with full origin traceability.

Fair labour practices - All of my jewellery is designed and crafted by me in Melbourne. When necessary, I also employ local contractors to assist me with my work. I prioritise working with small businesses that operate under fair labour conditions and they are often owner operated/sole traders. 

Transparency and traceability - I am transparent about my sourcing and production processes, and I am happy to provide information about my suppliers and the origin of the materials used. This ensures that customers are able to make informed decisions about their jewellery purchases and can be confident that their jewellery is ethically and sustainably produced.

Longevity - I strive to create jewellery that is timeless, durable, and long-lasting. I also use materials that can be recycled or repurposed, and I encourage repair and maintenance of jewellery pieces to ensure they can be worn for many years to come.

Minimal waste - In my workshop, I prioritise minimising the use of harmful chemicals, and I collect and recycle all scrap metal. Additionally, a high percentage of my packaging is either biodegradable or reusable and recyclable, including the premium packaging that is handmade from certified sustainable Australian timber.

Social Responsibility - As a socially responsible business, I am committed to giving back to the planet and supporting communities that need help. I will donate a portion of my profits to environmental and social causes.
